Corky Mansfield was a familiar face to many in the town of Bury St Edmunds for many years, and was a real character. I would often see him around in the town and in the Grapes pub and very much enjoyed bantering with him. He sadly passed away in 2016, and I felt compelled to draw this portrait of him as my own little tribute. I decided to show the drawing in the Bury St Edmunds Art Society Annual Art Exhibition in 2017, and not only did the drawing sell, but it also won the prize for ‘best drawing in any medium’
