Do you take Commissions?
I take commissions for Pencil Portrait drawings, which includes pet portraits. I am also open to discuss any idea that you might have for a bespoke piece of artwork including your own colour way of one of my paintings. You can find all the general information about commissioning a drawing on the Commission Info/Gallery section of my website. If there is any information that you would like to know and you cannot find it on the commissions page, please feel free to contact me via email by clicking the link on the contact page.
Is your work for sale?
My drawings and paintings are for sale. The exception to this is my series of mental health drawings, which are very personal and I do not wish to part with, only to share the work and the story behind these pieces.
Do your pieces come framed?
I mostly mount my drawings and paintings that are made on paper so that they are ready for you to frame as you choose, but I can frame on request, in a standard wood frame. If you would like a piece of artwork framed that is shown as mounted only, please email me via the link on the contact page. Some of my Original pieces do come already framed, usually drawings that have been drawn specifically for a frame I have acquired with that artwork in mind, and this will be shown as a framed piece on the Gallery/shop. All information about the artwork including size and details of mediums used etc, can be found on product descriptions for each artwork
Which artworks can I order as prints?
Drawings and paintings in the Print shop section of the website can be ordered as prints. The prints are the same size as the original artwork, and some larger paintings may have another size option. These are high quality pigment prints (Giclee) on Hahnemuhle Photo Rag paper. Prints are a limited edition run, so once their number has sold out, there will not be any more prints made of that artwork. Size info can be found on the product description for the artwork to help you with frame sizing.
Can I spread the cost of an artwork?
If you would like to purchase or commission an artwork but would like to spread the cost of larger or more expensive pieces, I am very happy to discuss and arrange payment plans. It is best to contact me via email so that we can discuss an arrangement to suit, please bear in mind that the artwork will only be sent once the full payment is received. The email link to contact me can be found on the contact page of the website.
How do you ship artwork?
I send mounted and framed artworks in a box, securely packaged and bubble wrapped. Small prints are sent in a hardback envelope and larger prints are sent rolled in tube. I do try to use biodegradable and recycled/recyclable packaging where possible so it may not always be pretty! Postage and packing cost depends on how and where the piece needs to be shipped and is calculated at checkout so you will know the total cost before you confirm your purchase. Artwork and prints are always sent using a tracked delivery service and require a signature on delivery.
How long will it take to receive my artwork?
I always do my best to get artwork purchases and print orders sent out as quickly as possible, but sometimes I do have to allow time for mounting, framing, and sometimes stock orders to arrive with me to complete an order, plus I am doing everything on my own so it can take a little time!
Please allow up to 28 days delivery time from the receipt of your order. This is to allow me sufficient time to process, package and post your artwork. You will receive an email to let you know when your artwork has been dispatched along with the tracking information. In the rare event that there are any severe delays, I will keep in touch with you to keep you informed of your orders progress.
Do you ship outside the UK?
Due to the current situation with GPSR changes, I am unable to ship into the EU & NI as standard, however please email Info@littlejoart.co.uk to discuss if you are outside of mainland UK and wish to make a purchase
Is there anything I should know about hanging my Artwork?
It is advisable to hang the Artwork in a place that is not in direct sunlight, to avoid it fading. The same goes for Art prints. It is also recommended that you check the frame size you will need for your artwork for the frame you choose if you are not taking the artwork to a framer, and measure the space that you intend to hang the artwork. Please read the information on the product page for the artwork you would like to purchase, to ensure it will fit the space where it will hang. If you need any further advice with this I am happy to answer your questions.
Is there any further information I should know?
I do not accept returns on any artworks or prints. If you are unhappy with your purchase please contact me and I will do my best to resolve the issue for you.
In the unlikely event that the artwork gets lost or is damaged in transit, please contact me so that we can resolve this for you.
