I really feel that wisdom is something one gains when you observe carefully, listen more than speak, and put into practice what you learn when you make a mistake. I also feel it is wise to have the courage to admit when you are wrong and to ask questions and learn if you do not understand something. There is no shame in that, as we are always learning through our life, we never stop and we can use that knowledge to kindly help and guide others too. Sharing is caring.

Description
This ‘Key to Wisdom’ drawing is part of my ‘Keys to Life (From the Mind of an Artist in Lockdown)’ series.
I have always been fascinated by keys and have previously drawn them in other pieces. The possibilities they can unlock, their mystery that they hold and the aura surrounding them has always had a calling for me. A few days before this lockdown period began I had an overwhelming urge to draw them once again, at first I wasn’t sure why, but I knew it was what I was meant to be drawing. After the first few keys were drawn I soon realised the series of drawings I wanted to create.
This series I wanted to serve as a beautiful reminder of one of the most significant times the world has seen. During difficult times it is easy to focus on the negative, but many positives have also been there to be had. We have all gone through different emotions and discovered different things during this lockdown period. It is amazing to have seen people make the best of what they already have and discover new interests and hobbies, or rediscover the ones they thought they didn’t have the time for before. Throughout the 21 keys in this series each one represents a different aspect that we might have gone through, discovered or become especially significant to us. An element of life which came to light was very important to you during this period. I hope that you enjoy the keys as much as I have enjoyed drawing them. Whichever Key it is that means the most to you I hope it brings you great joy and serves as a reminder to all you achieved during a time that challenged us all.
